I think there's no question that Lionel was blind initially. But he obviously recovered possibly as early as Insurgence. Watch his mannerisms and you can see he was blind at first.

I think he was blind initially also. It's up in the air as to when exactly he regained his sight and how much he actually knows for sure about Clark.

Another poster at FDC theorized that he wasn't blind *right* from the beginning, also. I hadn't thought of it but once I considered the possibility, I figured that would be the storyline taken.

I knew when he didn't put his finger in the glass to measure it even before lucas said something. Maybe he paid off the doctors to tell Lex that he was blind. But why?

Hi all you Smallville fans
I did watch the show all along from the very first episode,thing is here in Norway we're just in the beginning of the 2nd season and i never knew that Lionel wasn't blind hno
Then he sure must know alot more than he should about Clarks secret,it will be exciting to see how it goes
