* Both Clark and a classmate named Eric are struck by lightning. The strike seems to take Clark's powers away and instead transfer them over to Eric. As Eric gets stronger with more power, Clark becomes weaker.
* Eric's parents want to have him examined in Metropolis. Their reaction to their son's powers is obviously very different from the way the Kents respond to their son's abilities.
x* Sir Harry Hardwick (Victoria's father, and rival of Lionel Luthor) and his daughter try to recruit Lex for their business in Metropolis.
Clark gets seriously injured and ends up in the hospital. Lex seems almost surprised when he hears from the doctor that Clark's condition is "nothing out of the ordinary."
* At some point in the episode Lex tells Clark he thinks he's more than a "simple farm kid." The slash writers are going to have a field day. Episodic descriptions say that Lex believes he has undeniable evidence of Clark's secret.
* Lana is apparently wearing her necklace again.
* Clark's "spaceship in the storm cellar" makes a return appearance. How and why? Wait to see the episode to find out!
* Eric is played by actor Shawn Ashmore, who played "Bobby Drake" (aka Iceman) in the X-Men movie.
* There is a scene where Clark and Pete play basketball.
* In a recent interview with the Vancouver Province, Shawn Ashmore revealed that his character will be stopping off a knife attack, thumping on his abusive father, and lifting a car. He also revealed that his character "has super-strength and super-speed" in this role-reversal episode.

I watched this one last night as well. I don't know it was okay I guess. It was a bit of a let-down after 2 great eps in a row now. The whole switching powers thing, was a bit stupid IMO. I liked how Lex came out on top with his backstabbing "business" girlfriend. I didn't like her from the start. Hmmm.. I also didn't like the fact that Lana knows Clark likes her now and she says a "rain" check on him walking her because Whitney is instead. Seems like she's playing Clark and I don't like that.

I only started to watch Smallville last night.My opinion is that
though kristin Kreuk and the kent guy looks good together
their chemistry don't hit me as much as Shiri Appleby and
Jason Behrs of Roswell saga. But I think the actor who plays
the Kent character is not an @#%$ who will shaft his leading lady for any secondary character co-star who looks much better than the leading lady.

Lihara~ You missed one of the best eps yet - Shimmer, when they came really close to getting together. *sigh* and when I first started watching it, your right, it didn't seem as if the same chemistry was there, but after Shimmer, I am hooked. The sunset scene was beautiful. Of course who knows what they are doing now...LOL...it's like they are making her play him. As far as the leading lady part goes, I don't know.. it does seem as if the writers are hinting towards that direction, ie. Cloe seems to have an interest in Clark IMO. I did post a few pictures over on the shimmer thread, but I couldn't find any really great ones.. LOL. Hopefully a really great ending is coming up. Or cliffhanger. :lol
