Well, honestly my first answer would be neither. Neither of them *did* it for me. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adored Alex but never felt much chemistry on her part with him. And Jesse was okay I suppose, but again I never got to see the beginning stages of their relationship to really be hooked one way or the other.

I agree that neither had chemistry with Is. Jesse was just dull. Alex was a great character but they didn't write him well until they decided to get him off the show.

I agree as much as I love Alex he never had any chemistry with Isabel. Jesse didn't either. So I would have to pick none.

Alex...just cause I loved him to pieces! He was just too adorable! And it was kind of nice to see the "nerd" with the "model." Jesse was just too "perfect" with his Mr. Suit and Tie lawyer thing going on.

I agree with those that posted that there was a lack of chemistry with both. Katherine Heigl has no chemistry with anyone. I have to go with Alex hands down. With the Geek/Goddess relationship, it made Isabel's character three-dimensional. Without Alex, Isabel was nothing. Don't believe me? Just watch season flee. SIGH

If I had to choose someone for her it would be Jessie. I loved Alex to bits but Isabel wasn't for him and I never felt any chemistry between them anyway.

I haven't seen Season 3 yet *sob* so I have to go with Alex. Jesse is a better match for her physically but Alex is the sweeter one. However, I say that Alex and Isabel have not as much chemistry as say Max and Liz (definitely, those two are sizzling together) or Michael and Maria. Even Isabel and Kyle seem like a better match.
