I can't miss class--if I do, that's the information I will *never* learn. It's happened over and over. Therefore, I rarely, if ever, skip my classes. But on the 22nd of this month, I have to miss most of a day of classes because I'm needed an hour south to testify for the prosecution in a professional dicipline case. But I know all the profs I have quite well, and it's early in the semester. And I'm the one who filed the bloody complain that is FINALLY coming to hearing after...oh, I don't know how long, but I filed it in July '99. So you bet your sweet bippy I'm going to be there to nail this guy to the wall! YEAH! *calms down* The vet was a very naughty boy and was allowing untrained people to do things that could hurt the animals in the clinic's care. Not to mention what he was allowing people to do is a class E felony in NYS.

A friend of mine, who's on the Cheney board with me, came in to this forum (or was it the Alias forum?) not too long ago and remarkred to me at how polite and kind everyone was, and how well we get along. It's much more peaceful than she's used to. So kudos to everyone! I'm impressed, too. Everyone here is loving and has a great sense of humor. And we can disagree without anyone taking it personally, which is a very nice change. We also treat newbies with kindness and decency.

Remember that girl Becka that showed here? She also came to the Cheney board. There was this post about how a band lots of people love (Five Iron Frenzy, for what it's worth) is breaking up in March. Becka posted something about how a guy she knew that had met the band said not to believe rumors, and one of the admins got on and was most sarcastic and nasty to her about it. It's not the first time this admin has been nasty to newbies. Actually, she's nasty to just about everyone. However, what keeps her from being edited and deleted and publically censured by the other admins is that...well, the admins is a Good Ole Boys club. "Sarah is Sarah. We can't make her change." So while I have been edited and deleted (I'm sure others have, I just can't think of who right now), her posts remain intact, and the regular members speak out more than the admins do. Which is why I love it over here so much. We don't have any problems, and I'm sure that even though all the mods and admins are friends, if one of us started acting nasty, the others wouldn't let friendship get in the way of handling it appropriately. And this witch continues on unchecked.

Aww, it's nice to get compliments but I totally have to agree (again). When I first joined FD, the first thing I noticed was that it ws different from the other boards I had joined. Everyone were friendly to each other, plus we're kind of wacky and crazy (especially dear old Stalker ) and we could argue without actually for real.

Hell, yeah, that's true. They're not really scaring you off or so, but you come in and no one cares, they barely turn their heads to acknowledge you and then keep going with their usual business, and you're standing there on the threshold, thinking, umm, yeah, well, shall I come in or leave...you never feel quite at home.
That's why I live on FD.

Exactly my point Stalker! Basically they just don't give a rats ass about newbies. Your left feeling like a complete moron. It's happened to us all over there. Hell, if they were trying to sell stuff - they drown in heartbeat. I mean who the hell really wants to stick around if nobody gives a shit if your there or not? :run
