Oh why not... let's start a question of the week thread. Every week a question is asked and everyone can give answers/feedback.. maybe it will come in very useful for some members. So, if you happen to be on here on Saturday-- you can post the new question for the week! :)

So, here we go... Question for this week is: "I'm looking to buy/upgrade my phone... what kind of phone should I buy and why?"

I have no idea. I just have a plain old phone, nothing fancy and nothing "smart." I have a dumb phone. :lol

LMAO! :lol :lol

I upgraded a year ago to a smartphone- Samsung S2 and it's okay. Worst part about it has got to be the battery. I feel like it's always dying. :shake

I just don't even know if I really want one. Too much hassle...plus you have to pay a ridiculous amount for the data plan. Stupid! :shake

Ah... well see, not me. Shhhh... somehow (and I'm not entirely sure how) I managed to get it without a data plan... so I don't pay for it (but I do use my home wireless if I want look something up). I only really use it to talk and text, not data. Guess that's not what a smartphone is really for... but ohwell. :lol :lmao

I have an android phone. Got it for my birthday and everything is great with it. But I love playing music and only recently discovered everyone else could hear it too. Bit embarrassing as walked round supermarket completely in aware. I love these kind of phones though and I use them a lot for games, music and Facebook. All depends what u would want on it. And be very careful if its a touch screen. As I broke my last screen by dropping phone and was cheaper to get a new one

See, I just don't have time when I'm out and about to use my phone for anything other than texting and calling. There have been a time or two where it would have been nice to have the internet to look something up such as store hours or what not when I'm not at home, but I really don't think I'd use it enough. Plus, I have my Nook so I use that when I do have "spare time" away from home to get online or read.

I use my phone for everything but I am having issues for getting the internet when I am out the settings don't seem to work well on it. I am addicted to it though. Used to have like 1000 messages a month when I was at college and would be determined to use them all. I have to take my charger to work as I do drain the battery playing games etc.

I plug mine into my home wifi and it comes in handy when I'm coding on the main computer- I can just refresh my phone and get a quick glimpse of what I've done wrong. :lol Of course, I can also use the wifi if I'm in a public place that has it like- Starbucks or McD's to do just what you said - check online real quick. but other than that... I don't need any data. I don't use the GPS- I just pull over and ask for directions the old fashioned way! :lol :lol

I have a tablet. Pros it does what my phone does but on a larger scale. I can watch programmes on it and it helps me post here but the keyboard is a bit awkward until I get a proper one. My partners kids love it for games. Cons definitely the keyboard. Battery life etc good. I would be too scared to take it out the house encase I dropped it. I can't play Facebook games on it. And pictures when I try and view them for posting here can appear funny.

It basically only plays games you can on your mobile phone. So only really candy crush.

I would have to say Amazon now after reading peoples reviews. I used to also get things from play.com which were quite good and eBay which were not always. Amazon has always been good to me so stuck with it. Got myself a nice hoover from it. I got quite excited about it, silly I know

I've used amazon many times without any problems. I've also bought electronics from bestbuy.com and target.com and of course walmart.com LOL
