Hey all...this is my first post here too.

Something struck me during the course of this episode. Giles mentions that the First can only appear in the guise of someone who's passed away. The First has appeared as Buffy, but she's alive. I know she's died before (several times), but she IS alive now. Every other person the First has impersonated died and is still dead. I may be completely off, but it made me wonder. Any thoughts?

Great episode! Looking forward to seeing where this season will go!

If he said a person "who had passed away" then it is accurate because she has passed away. The fact that she came back doesn't change that fact. But, like I said, I missed it due to a power nap gone awry, so I don't know exactly what he said.

I gotta agree with Laura. He said the First could only take form in someone who has passed away. And as you've said, Buffy has done just that. So, I think that her coming back to life is just a technicality. I really enjoyed this episode! I've missed the last couple, so this was a welcome.
