Damon has always been my choice since I read the books as a teenager. I was so irritated when i first saw the changes the show writers made to my beloved story. I would not even give the show a chance. I would read each book page by page and then start over again. Many years later I remember reading the scenes between Damon and Elena and sighing so much wanting her to choose him even if i already knew what was happening. I am referring to the first 4 books, not the later editions. It was certainly my choice of porn back in the day. I had a hang up with Elena not having blonde hair (silly huh?). The brothers were civil war era and not made during the Renaissance (Oh! the horror). I finally began watching it in during it's 3rd season (I've watched the entire series a few times) and I absolutely loved all of the changes.

You know... I have never read the books? Didn't even know they existed?

Have you guys seen the previews for the new season yet? I'm not so sure Bonnie & Damon are coming back from the abyss?
