OLDER WOMEN SET THEIR SIGHTS ON DAWSON AND PACEY — Pacey's (Joshua Jackson) undeniable attraction towards his sexy new boss Alex (guest star Sherilyn Fenn, “Twin Peaks”) gets him into trouble after she makes a late night visit to his apartment and Audrey (Busy Philipps) catches them together. Meanwhile, Dawson (James Van Der Beek) runs into an old friend at the movies and ends up in the older woman's bed. Mel Damski directed the episode written by Jeffrey Stepakoff

Pacey finds it harder and harder to resist the advances of his boss, leaving a pissed off Audrey to question their relationship. Meanwhile, Dawson runs into Amy, the film critic, at the movies, and the two share an unexpected romantic encounter. Meanwhile, Joey and Jack cram for finals and Jack worries that he's fallen too far behind.

-Pacey "kiss-cheats" on Audrey twice with Alex. She finds out about both times. They have a nasty fight where Pacey says something along the lines of, "Do you understand how badly I need this job?" (credit Roxy at PN)

-Pacey and Audrey have a big fight on the street at night over him kissing Alex twice and lying about it. She huffs off. This is probably the breakup scene. Pacey didn't initiate the kisses with Alex. (credit Monica M at FF)

***PACEY WILL BE LIVING IN BRECHER'S APARTMENT. ALEX COMES OVER LATE AT NIGHT AND IS TALKING ABOUT THE HUG AND THE KISS THEY SHARED EARLIER THAT EVENING. She starts to walk away but Pacey grabs her by the wrists, spins her around.
PACEY: Audrey, please--
AUDREY: Let go of me!
PACEY: Listen to me!
AUDREY: Why should I? You lied to me. She did come on to you.
PACEY: I didn't tell you because I didn't think it was going to happen again.
AUDREY: You were wrong.
PACEY: And I didn't think it was fair to embarrass her.
AUDREY: What are you talking about? This isn't high school. This is your boss hitting on you. If you really didn't want her to do it again you could've stopped it. You didn't because you like it. Because you're attracted to her. It's so obvious.
He can't deny this.
AUDREY: If you really didn't want to her to hit on you again why didn't you just quit?
PACEY: Maybe I need this job. I'm not exactly rolling in money. If you haven't noticed, I can barely afford a place of my own. I'm not some rich college kid who can just walk if the mood suddenly strikes me.
Audrey reacts, stung.
AUDREY: Cool. Screw the girl, keep your job. Have your cake and eat it, too.
Audrey storms off down the street, Pacey watches her go.

***THE FOLLOWING SCENE OCCURS WHEN PACEY COMES BACK INTO THE APARTMENT AFTER HIS FIGHT WITH AUDREY:

ALEX: Come, sit down.
She leads him to the sofa, puts a glass of champagne in his hand and encourages him to drink.
PACEY: Do you realize she may never talk to me again?
ALEX: I told you nineteen is too young to be settling down.
She starts to touch him.
PACEY: You're driving me cray. You know that don't you?
ALEX: I guess I can't help it. Like I told you, I take getting what I want for granted.
PACEY: But I thought you were trying to change that about yourself.
ALEX: I think sometimes it's best not to fight your natural urges, Pacey. Sometimes it's best just to give in.
She starts to kiss him. He's about to lose his shirt.
PACEY: You are a very determined woman.
ALEX: (turning on the seduction) Everyone thinks you did it, Pacey, so why not just go ahead and do it?
Finally, the poor schmuck is just too tired to fight anymore. They start making out, hot and heavy. Entwined, hands wildly groping, they fall horizontal onto the sofa. Just when cloths are about to come off, just when Pacey is past the point of no return --- Alex pulls away ... (credit sharone, courtesy of TWB)

-Pacey and Audrey agree on their "couple" status in 519, after attempting and failing to do so in 518. At this point, they've been sleeping together for 2 months. In 510, they are together and happy. They are having fun and enjoying each other. Then Alex enters the picture. In this episode (521), they break up. Alex is definitely a factor into why they break up. Both Pacey and Audrey will be unhappy after their break-up. Neither one wants it to be over. Neither one knows how they show this to the other. (credit hoydenish at FF)

Having tired the floor, Dawson and Amy lie together on Amy's bed. They radiate the glow of two people who have probably just had a lot more sex.
DAWSON: I can honestly say, I've never had a date like this before.
AMY: Me neither.
DAWSON: Can I ask you a question?
AMY: You just did, but feel free to ask another.
DAWSON: Why did you decide to ... What is it that makes a girl want to spend the night with someone she hardly knows?
AMY: The same thing that makes a guy want to. Of course, with girls, the deciding factor is usually the shoes.
DAWSON: You decided to sleep with me because of my Skechers?
